Kirkcaldy to Receive National Profile

Kirkcaldy Town Centre Management announced this week the planned production of an 8-page pull out within the Scotsman newspaper will come to fruition on Tuesday 4th July 2006.

Providing the reader with an overview of the positive attributes Kirkcaldy has to offer, the Supplement will give the town a substantially higher national profile with regard to some key themes which are critical to Kirkcaldy’s economy. Broadly, the themes cover

  • Major, national and international events that Kirkcaldy is capable of staging such as the Vettriano and Colourists exhibitions, the Scottish Balloon Challenge and the International Market
  • Business – John Smith Business Park, Town Centre and Waterfront Masterplan
  • Retail – the combination of independent and national brands
  • Quality of Life – housing and education, in particular Adam Smith College

Commenting on the Supplement, Sunil Varu, Kirkcaldy Town Centre Manager, said,

“This is part of an awareness raising exercise due to the fact that Kirkcaldy can and does attract some nationally and internationally renowned events which ultimately helps to promote a better quality of life for residents and those wishing to move into the area. Due to its location and with the masterplan exercise well underway, Kirkcaldy is also becoming an attractive business location.

There is much to be proud about in terms of what Kirkcaldy offers and hopefully this will be represented within the Supplement”.
