announces sponsorship deal with Mercat Shopping Centre
Kirkcaldy
Town Centre Management this week announced yet another sponsorship
deal with the Mercat Shopping Centre for the third successive
year for its highly popular Christmas magazine, “The Cracker”.
The highly acclaimed magazine will be produced to promote Kirkcaldy
at a crucial time over the festive season, with a circulation
of 110,000 throughout Fife and north-west Edinburgh.
With
a focus on the key positive aspects of Kirkcaldy as a retail destination
over the festive season, the Cracker magazine reaches over 300,000
people across the region including the key central Fife area but
also many of the other parts of Fife in the bid to attract more
people to come and shop in Kirkcaldy Town Centre. The magazine
has proved beyond doubt that people read it and keep it for the
duration.
Announcing
the sponsorship deal, Kirkcaldy Town Centre Manager, said,
“This
will be the fourth year the magazine has been produced and I am
delighted that the Mercat Shopping Centre will have sponsored
3 of them which is a testament to strength of the magazine as
a positive “brand” for marketing Kirkcaldy to a wider
audience. At a time of economic turmoil and strong competition
from other towns, the Cracker is the one magazine which will drive
home the message that Kirkcaldy is a truly viable festive shopping
destination. Full of good gift ideas and a focus on the key retail
attractions, including the many quality independent shops Kirkcaldy
boasts and the numerous events from the Lights Switch On to ‘Blokes
Day’, the magazine has proved beyond doubt that the message
gets through to the public.”

Ciaraldi, the Mercat Shopping Centre’s Marketing Manager,

Kirkcaldy and one that has a very good track record in not only
highlighting the town for shopping but has high levels of readership
responses. Our sponsorship of the magazine for the 3rd successive

approach for the festive period in particular which will bring
people into Kirkcaldy town centre through a targeted marketing
and events campaign.”
The
magazine will be distributed directly into people’s homes
in early November and guarantees reaching the target audience,
informing them of all the key events, shopping and leisure highlights.
