Winners Take All!!
Kirkcaldy
Town Centre Management announced the names of 2 winners of the
“Winner Takes All” competitions associated with the
recent Caribbean carnival event.
Firstly, the
Caribbean Treasure Hunt competition was won by 6 year old Grant
Anderson from Kirkcaldy. Grant came up trumps in a competition
which required entrants to find 20 specially commissioned posters
of palm trees which were displayed within 20 town centre businesses.
He was absolutely delighted to have won the competition and the
£50 vouchers prize.
Secondly,
the “Winner Takes All” raffle in aid of the Maggies
Centre, which raised £550 was won by Iain Cummings, also
of Kirkcaldy. The donated goods and vouchers from town centre
businesses amounted to an astonishing £800 and Iain was
naturally delighted:
“I have
never won a raffle before and so I am over the moon with this
great range of prizes especially as I am due to get married in
a couple of weeks. Many of the prizes will come in very handy
indeed!!”
Dom Panetta,
Director of KTCM and whose business (The Migele Experience) donated
a couple of raffle prizes, added,
“On
behalf of KTCM, thanks go to all the businesses for their generosity
in prize donations and to those people who bought tickets for
what is ultimately a great local cause. Both these competitions
have also shown how town centre businesses can rally round a particular
cause through the work of KTCM and, as a Director of the Company,
I am grateful to them for the part they played. I am also heartened
by the level of interest that children are also taking in their
town centre and congratulations go to young Grant for taking the
time to walk around the centre to spot the posters”
“Elizabeth
Adams, Fundraiser for the Maggies Centre, added,
“I
would like to thank Kirkcaldy Town Centre Management for organising
these competitions and for raising £550 for Maggies for
which we are grateful. We hope to continue our good relationship
with them for future projects”
